My friend's OH, Stan, hasn't worked for a long time now, due to two hip replacements and a bionic ankle, so he's not exactly retiring as such. However, he does officially become a pensioner in a few day's time. I'm not big on age cards (and requested none for my milestone birthday a couple of years ago!) but as they're having a family celebration for him I decided he'd not be unhappy with an age card. I'm not good with men's themed cards but I think this Penny Black image fits the bill.
Goodies:
6" x 6" card base from stash
DP are from Monti's Pixel Playground and Zoe Pearn
Image is Penny Black (I think it's called Dog Puddle, or maybe that's my interpretation!) and coloured with Promarkers
Mats are a dark brown with gold shimmer card I bought from CraftLlandudno
Martha Stewart Scallop Dot edge punch and the little circle punchie waste has been used for imitation brads
Sentiment and number are computer generated
